The Garden Microchurch
Inspired by the biblical imagery of the garden, this microchurch family seek to walk and work intimately with God as in Eden. They take seriously God's call for them to be present, as individuals and corporately, tending the land where he has placed them (Gen 2: 4-5 + 8), striving to work, study or parent in a way that points those in their networks to Jesus. They value authenticity in their community, both through prayer and as they share together.
As a result of this pandemic they’ve come face to face with their own vulnerabilities. This has shown them their need to nurture one another in prayer and in the process has grown their heart for the vulnerable in their city. From this heart for the vulnerable, they envision the Garden microchurch growing in several areas of justice minstry. Some examples so far have been supporting a vulnerable family during the pandemic and purposefully educating themselves about the needs of the foster care system. Our dream is to create a safe place for people which meets both spiritual and practical needs of those they get alongside.
